Description A story about a little boy who was crying, so his Dad took him for a walk to a bushnut tree. The Dad saw a nest in the tree and told the boy not to cry because he would climb up and get him a bird, so the child stopped crying. The Dad climbed up but the nest was empty, so the child started singing about how the bird escaped. This is a story for children with animal characters. Description Recordings made by Eleanor Ridge with Vatlongos community members between 2014 and 2020 as part of a PhD project and follow up trips. The project was funded by a UK Arts and Humanities Research Councial doctoral scholarship. Follow up trips were funded by a SOAS University doctoral travel grant, and by Massey University.
